ALMOST VICTIMIZED_ My daughter responded to an ad for employment in the administrative field. They told her to give her name and address and they will send her a cashiers check to get started in a product review. She was told she is to cash the check of $400 so she will be able to make the purchases being reviewed. ..

So, suspecting that it was a scam to get into her bank account, we told them to mail it, but we gave MY work address ( a law firm).

I just received the check WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS and it was made out in the amount of $2895.36.. Much more than $400, obviously.

The check was written out from Laplaza Wellness Center Inc. . 800 Parkdale Dr. Southlake TX. 76092. (A RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS) from a Wells Fargo Bank on 5520 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX. 76034

The check LOOKS totally legit. But we are not falling for it. The thought at first, was that we might open a NEW account with just this check to see what happens, but then we thought they might find access to other info; (SS#, etc..)

So, I am opting to report it to you and see where this takes us.

My daughter is *** *** (24). Her phone is *** ***. She could provide the ad and other information if you need it.
