Cashapp advertised $5 to refer a friend to the friend and referrer. My mother referred me and I followed the steps to meet requirement. After completing the steps, it listed new requirements which I did not meet and customer service said I could not get. My mother then tries to send me $500 and it blocks her account saying it’s for my protection. Customer service says that it was likely a scammer and that they could not help me. All in all, the website gathers personal information such as bank account numbers and credit card numbers that I now feel are unsafe to be shared with.
