The scammer mailed my elderly parents papers to sign over their land totaling over 234 acres and offered to bring a cashier's check within 3 days. They offered them a little over $1000 an acre but the market value in their area is valued over $4000 an acre. They would have lost over $700,000. My brother who owns land nearby did not receive these letters and thereby feel they are targeting the elderly who aren't familiar with the market.
