Mr. Pelham, an independent contractor, did an extremely poor job installing new tile in the entryway of my townhouse over a two-day period on June 29, and June 30, 2021. When I began noticing the poor workmanship over the next several days, I called him to schedule an appointment for us to review, discuss and perform the necessary remedial work. Unfortunately, he did not honor that appointment and made no effort to reschedule it even after I made a follow-up call. Consequently, I was compelled to hire another contractor to perform remediation which entailed demolition and retiling. In brief, Mr. Pelham's work was a total gut job. In order to recoup my financial investment, I filed a claim in Small Claims Court. Unfortunately, the summons could not be served as Mr. Pelham was not a resident of either address that I researched because he moves frequently.
