Type of a scam Online Purchase
This group contacted us by the name of Queen’s Basenji Puppies. They have since changed their website to Lady Helen's Basenji Home. The pictures are of the exact same dogs and the story is the same.
The scam is out of South Africa and I was unable to recover any money lost because they insist that you use Zelle.
I thought I was getting a Basenji puppy from a breeder in Oklahoma. Once I sent the $500 for the dog + $100 shipping costs, the "shipping company" contacted me telling me that the weather was poor and that we needed to rent a crate for transport. The deposit was $990 and we would get the deposit back after delivery.
Long story short, there was no dog, the shipping company was fake and both companies changed phone numbers and emails as soon as we started calling them.
