LA County Police Department - IMPOSTER Reports & Reviews (1)

Left VM on business line stating I need to call back ASAP. Called back to get VM of LA County Police Department and so it sounded legitimate. Then person called back identified himself as captain of the police department, gave me an address (which I looked up and it was a police station). Then he told me I had warrants for my arrest for failure to show up for jury duty and being in contempt of court. Because I’m a green card holder, he said there was a mistake but I’d have to talk to a judge and my options now is to have him send out officers to my location to arrest me or I can bring myself in. I said I’d do the latter. He then told me what my case # is and how much my fees are to lift the warrants which totaled $3,500. He then told me because the case was a federal case, the judge has placed a gag order on me and so until I get to the police station I can’t contact anyone about what is happening and if I do I’ll be jailed for 60-90 days. He then told me the station only accepts these money pak cards and so I needed to go get them from either a Walgreens or 7-11s. He stayed on the phone the entire time this was going on. I drive to the bank to withdraw the $3,500 and then to a Walgreens and then 7-11 and back to Walgreens and then a 7-11 as I was making my way to the police station. All the while he’s telling me my phone has been tapped and I’m being pinged and followed by officers so any wrong move I’ll be arrested. After the $3500 was given via the cards pin #s, he said he’s bringing in a US Marshal to finish. This criminal told me that $2000 of the cards didn’t work and I needed to get that money or the officer around the corner from where I was will arrest me. So I went back to the bank and got another $2000 and then back to Walgreens and 7-11s. Then he led me to the police station being on the phone. He said when I pulled into the parking lot that he’ll meet me in the lobby. I walked in and asked for him to which the officer at the front desk said no one there by this name. I said he was just on the phone with me and has been for 6 hours, she asked if I gave him money….then she told me what I’ve been fearing…I was scammed.
