On 7/14/2016 I recd a call from Michael Dawson (Asian accent) who said I needed a firewall installed in my computer; I did not obtain a phone no. I told him I thought he installed it last year for $269. He said since it did not work last year they would send my money back (but the co. that installed it was a different name; not L. T. Global). Michael asked for my bank acct no., credit card no. & SSN - because they were going to send my money back. Later, he said there was a problem and could not get it to go thru. He then asked for my PayPal acct & I told him I used to have an acct but it was not active. Then he said they were going to try to send my money but there was a problem w/the internet. He tried to put in $399 but it came out $3000. Since it was late in the day, he said we'll call you tomorrow and send the money by moneygram. Next morning I called PayPal to ask if the $399 had been put in & she said no Maam it did not show. She said on the banking side side we show $3000 line of credit had been set up the day before. I told her I did not authorize it and to just shut it down. I contacted the 3 credit bureaus and was advised to put a freeze; also reported scam to the police. I was also given a no. to the FTC (877-382-44357). And I shut down my computer.
