I received a call from "Steve" (would not give his last name or how he got my phone number). Wanted to get more information to discuss a mortgage refinancing. Saying I filled out information on line about refinancing and wanted to get more information. I asked about where he got the information and wouldn't say. He wanted to know current mortgage rate and loan amount as well as credit score. I think if they were not a scam they would have given me more information about the company. They called about 7:30 PM on Friday night which seemed strange to me. I told him we were not interested in refinancing and immediately hung up. He also said it was on a recorded line. Is there a way for me to find out more about them and see it they are a ligitimate company. I attempted to search for more information on line but was not successful. I didn't allow the person to get more information from me.
