I received a call at 5:46 PM today (10/23/2017.) A male on the other end of the line said that he was with the Knoxville Firefighter Association. He then asked "Are you doing okay today?".....to which I answered "Yes." The call was immediately ended. My husband asked who it was and I told him what was said. My husband had read about the voice recording scam in which the scammer records your voice saying "Yes." I had not read or heard of this scam before now and became worried. I looked up the number and was unable to track who it belongs to. I also looked up the Knoxville Firefighter Association and the number listed is not the one that had called me. I am worried that I have made a mistake by answering my phone. I am reporting it now in hopes to be proactive in case of a scam at my expense.
