On 01/11/2022 I called KLM airlines customer service to rebook a flight that KLM changed for us. This is the number I called after a google search 1 (800) 618-0104. The customer service operator asked me to pay 150$ to reschedule the flight and also my credit card information and a copy of my driver license to authorize the transaction. My credit card was eventually charged 150$. After this we escalated with KLM customer service via Facebook an other emails and we found out that we did not have to pay any fees and that KLM internal system does not see any transaction of 150$ from our account. After the fact I also realized that all my communications (to authorize the 150$ fee) was with a person ([email protected]) that did not have a KLM email address. I'm working with the bank to dispute the 150$ transaction not sure if I'll be successful and I'm concerned for my personal information being shared with a potential scam company.
