The website looks legitimate and we ordered a miniature schnauzer puppy for $700. They claimed it was an anniversary sale that included shipping to your home. They emailed and asked questions about if you've had a puppy before and such, saying they wanted to make sure we were the best fit. When it came time to pay, they said they had been having trouble with paypal and could we use Zelle instead. Still feeling ok, we transferred the $700 to Zelle account [email protected]. The name on the account was Mercedes Daughtry. We received a receipt and shipping confirmation. Then I get a phone call from the shippers, American Expresso Shippers, claiming that they need to use a different shipping crate to send the puppy due to covid 19 and colder weather conditions, a thermal electric dog crate. They wanted $1500 to cover the cost of the crate claiming they will refund 95% of it back upon delivery of the puppy. That sent up the red flags and I immediately messaged the breeder saying what happened. They tried to say they would send $1000 if I'd cover the other $500 so that the puppy can ship. I refused and requested a refund of the $700. I was told by them after the request that there is a 30 day money back guarantee. I asked for my refund again. It hadn't even been 2 days so its well within the 30 days. I have not heard back from them and have not received my $700 refund either.

They have my name, address, phone number, and $700 of my money.

I received a migraine, a hurt bank account, and no puppy.
