I recently lost a kitten due to a freak accident and decided to look around for a new kitten. Her page on Facebook came up and asked how much she was selling for. She told me that it was $900 but she would offer me $400 with cheap delivery. I sent payments through Cashapp to her name so I trusted it, after payment was done she went to the delivery agency and said I needed to send the delivery agency $750 to deliver ( which wasn’t the deal we made) so I asked for the delivery service address and phone number to get verification to know my cat is safe and the agent I was talking to told me that will wont give me an address, the seller also wouldn’t give me an address and demanded a refund which she refused at first. After going back and forth she agreed to send me the refund back through Cashapp on Tuesday. Tuesday ended up coming around and she send me a link where I have to insert my bank information, send her $200 to make sure my account is verified which I told her no and that it wasn’t the deal. I never got my money back and she is refusing to do so.

I was looking to buy a mainecoon kitten and found the website perezmainecoons.com. The prices seemed similar to other websites and I saw a kitten I like on there so I proceeded to ask about the kitten. They contacted me through email [email protected] and asked me about my interest in the kitten and some personal info. After answering questions we agreed to conduct business. They even emailed me a contract to print out and sign which convinced me even more. I was asked to make payment through Zelle. After paying they sent me a shipping agency website which seems real and tracking info. The shipping website was https://airpetscounty.com/. After I looked up the tracking info my info showed up and the process of shipping said ready for shipping. Shortly after the shipping agency contacted me through email [email protected] asking I pay for a thermal crate for the kitten. I did again using Zelle. Shortly after that they contacted me again through email asking I pay for insurance and vet vaccines. I refused to pay for more and they sent an email with a warning of being charged with animal abuse. This is when I started doubting the whole process. I looked up the images I received of the kitten and found them on other websites and then searched for similar scams and matched mine to other similar scams. Even the websites matched. I asked the scammers about this and they stopped responding.
