He asked if I was aware that I had not reported for jury duty on December, 17, 2024
We discussed me not receiving a letter on November 17, 2024.
He said there was a warrant out for my arrest and I would have to stay on the phone with him and drive immediately to 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA and pay my fines and serve 72 hours in jail and that I would need 2 forms of ID. I said I was at work and had my DL but would have to run home and get my passport.
He heard me tell my boss that I had to drive to Seattle because there was a warrant out for my arrest for missing jury duty, and he got agitated and told me that I had told someone so that added another layer to my arrest.
As I was driving, he kept telling me to pull over and write down numbers that I would need when I turned myself in. At one point, I told him that I was not in a place to pull over and write more things down, and he said my lack of cooperation will result in him sending an officer immediately to arrest me.
He asked if I had $1,750 for bail and another $1,650 for fines, and I said, "Look I will go turn myself in and my husband will come bail me out." He asked if I was aware I would have to serve 72 hours in jail first and I told him that was ok. He got very agitated and I received a text from my boss saying to hang up immediately, so I did.
I went directly to the Mill Creek WA sheriff's office and reported it. They laughed at me and said it was a scam and there was nothing they could do.
