I found a boxer (Emily) on the internet, inquired about her, agreed to purchase her. My wife sent through PayPal $720.60 (pet $600, shipment $100, fee $20.60) to [email protected]. Shmailto:[email protected]. She sent an email with shipping information. The shipping company was US Freight Airways. The shipper was Micheal E Segrid,10549 Wilsey Ave, Tujunga,CA 91042,(213)770-6659,[email protected] (no longer valid). The shipping company called and said we needed to send $1530 to them for a ventilated cage and insurance. I used prepaid cards and sent it to them, (per them they couldn't take a "credit card"). I get a call the next morning stating that some how Emily ended up in Oklahoma and that air port was requiring immunizations ($20) for health reasons and an additional $1150 for a license. The insurance permiums and license cost were to be reimbursed upon Emily's arrival to us. The following day (Monday) we got a call that Emily had been confiscated by the Animal Customs Checkpoint due to falsified papers. We are to wait for ACC to contact us within 48 hrs or come from TN to OK and pay the fine ($1280) and we can get her without papers.
