She posed as an “admin” on a dachshund puppy rehoming Facebook group. She said the price was $600 and the deposit was $400. She sent multiple pictures and some were even “action shots” of people playing with the puppy. She gave detailed information about the progress of the potty and crate training. Said the puppy would be ready in a week. I sent her $400 via Zelle. Said she would send me a receipt but never did. Then I googled her name and found that someone had reported her on scammer.com. I screenshotted that report and messaged it to her. I haven’t heard from her since.

One night I was browsing thru my FB notifications and there in a Dachshund group I belong to was a picture of a litter with "looking to re-home" on it. So, I reached out to the advertiser (Kimore Tyler) to inquire about cost and location. They were asking $300 for each puppy with the 1st $200 paid thru Zelle as a deposit. We decided that we would go for it and the next day paid our deposit. My mother-in-law decided she wanted one too, so she gave us her $200 and we paid that later the same day. We were supposed to pick the puppies up that Friday in a town about an hour and a half away...we were already going there for some other business. When I asked for the address (via FB messenger) I never received any response. I also tried to call thru FB (I'd never gotten a phone number) and there was no answer. I even emailed and got no reply. So after wasting the day waiting for our pick up time and another hour and a half and never hearing back we left town and headed home without the puppies and out a total of $400 between us. I've disputed the charges with my bank, but am still waiting for their decision.
