KicksByLyss scammed me

Alyssa Tedesco is the supposed name of who owns this company. She reached out to me multiple times in the past year about buying custom air force's from her. I was not interested for awhile, until she kept lowering the price and offering a deal of $60 for one pair of any design I want. So, I decided to give her some business as she claims she needed to get rid of her shoes.

I sent her my order and my money. Me and my brother both bought a pair. Suddenly - KicksByLyss on instagram disappears, and I get a DM from what looks like a personal account of hers saying her shoe account was hacked. She asks for my order and address again, and I sent it to her and she said she will send them that following wednesday.

A couple weeks go by, I started to forget that I even ordered them. It crossed my mind and I decided to ask for an update - only to find that 2nd account was also deleted. I had no way of reaching her, so I looked on tik tok for her account which had been tagged previously by accounts so I was able to find it. It was no longer a shoe account, it had also turned into a personal account also.

So i requested to follow it, then almost immediately got a DM on instagram from ANOTHER account of hers. She claimed the 2nd account was also hacked. Then, she asked for my order for the 3rd time.

This is where I got fed up, because these shoes were ordered almost a month before and she still hadn’t even started despite saying it would only take a couple weeks.

I looked her company up and found multiple complaints of her and similar experiences. Many people lost their money. I messaged her a link and threatened to post this report if i didn’t get refunded by that day.

She started to tell me a personal story as to why she doesn’t get to orders in time, and was upset that “now she’s labeled as a scammer”. I do feel for her if this story is true, but then I see reviews of her doing the same thing to others months and months before, so if she knew she wouldn’t get them done, why even keep the business running? This is a business, you have to keep your word with your costumers.

She told me she would refund, but only had 70 in her bank account. So she sent my money back ($65) but not my brothers, and promised that she would send his money YESTERDAY morning because she had to wait until her bank cleared. I told her to please stay in contact til then, and she hasn’t. I have since asked about the refund and she hasn’t replied, and I honestly don’t expect her to.

This has been very poor and unprofessional business. I do not think it even exists anymore at this point. Do not do business with her.

I Ordered on April 18th And Sent 60 dollars through cash app to her account $alyssat02131. She gave me a phone number to reach her through saying she could answer faster through that. She never answered through the phone number so I had to contact her through instagram every time I reached out. She would keep telling me she was shipping my shoes either that day or the next and then told me she caught COVID so would sent them after 2 weeks of quarantine. She still never sent them I kept reaching out and she would say the same things saying that she would ship them out that day. Then told me her grandma was sick and she would ship them out with express shipping and never did. I got fed up and asked for a refund where she read the message then blocked me right after. So I requested the return through cash app but I have no hopes of getting the money back.

Ordered a pair of shoes from her in April 2022, it's June 2022 and I haven't received my shoes She kept making excuses as to why she hadn't shipped them out yet. I just got refunded by her yesterday so if you got scammed by her too reach out to @lyssatedesco which is her private IG account, she just started refunding people for their orders.

Kicksbylyss is a scam!!

Same experience as everyone else. I order shoes from her Instagram account: kicksbylyss_ back in March and never received the shoes. I would ask her for the tracking number and pictures of the shoes and she would either not respond or make excuses. She kept saying it would be sent out week after week until I finally just wanted my money back so I told her I wanted a refund or I’ll have to share my experience with others. She doesn’t give me the refund and instead says that her grandma died and she’ll have it sent with express shipping. I looked up her account today and was pissed when I saw her account was gone. I thought I had been blocked so when I went and looked for her account I ran into an account that said kicksbylyss was a scam so I looked through the posts and found this page. I realized that she’s scammed many people. I hope the word spreads so she doesn’t do this to people again.

P.S I threatened to report her and finally got my refund today.

Just like everyone else here, I was promised shoes and did not recieve them. I kept being pushed off saying things were taking longer than was expected, she was in the hospital, staying with her grandma because her grandma was sick. Every excuse in the book. I eventually did get my money back. I am not sure what the point of her scam is because it seems like a good potion of us got our money back. I am worried that she has my phone number, address, etc. Maybe that is part of her scam.

Shoe Scammer

Her real name is Alyssa Tedesco and her Instagram was kicksbylyss_, her Tik Tok is lyssatedesco1, and her Venmo is alyssacamporini. She reached out January 31st, 2022 with a special deal of $90 per pair of shoes and after I said no thank you, she lowered the price to $70. I said yes, sent her my address, and I sent her the $70 on Venmo. I kept asking when the shoes were arriving since it had been months and she either ignored me or said that they were being shipped. Now she has me blocked so that I can’t contact her on any of her platforms to confront her about never sending me the shoes that I paid for. I had messaged her again on June 1st asking when they were arriving and she said they were being shipped tomorrow. That was right before she blocked me on Instagram and now I am no longer able to view her Venmo profile either. Her company Kicksbylyss LLC is a New Jersey Domestic Limited-Liability Company filed On February 1, 2021. The company's filing status is listed as Active and its File Number is 450599588.

KICKSBYLYSS__ IS A SCAM!! DO NOT BUY!

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from her back in April, and I still haven’t received them. She reached out to me offering some “deal,” so I bought shoes for my husband and I. Every time I ask for my tracking number, she gives me a shipment date, and then ignores my messages. She will come up with an excuse as to why they haven’t been shipped, and then I won’t hear from her unless I message her. She was also super adamant about sending her the money, so she could “hold the shoes for me,” until I got paid. I sent her the money, and then after that, it’s been nothing but a headache. She’s told me it’s taking longer because she was in the hospital from covid, and her other excuse was, she was away visiting her sick grandmother. She told me 3 weeks ago my shoes were being shipped, and I still don’t have them. I’ve seen where there’s been multiple people who have gotten scammed by her.

HOW TO GET A REFUND

Don’t need to explain because many people went through the same experience as me. Turns out she has a registered LLC under her personal name. Her name is Alyssa Tedesco, it is under Kicksbylyss LLC and the file number is 450599588. Her address is in Landing, NJ 07850. Not putting her full address but it can easily be found online. Her Tiktok is @lyssatedesco1 and seems like she used to be legit and has made shoes for famous tiktokers under her old tiktok kicksbylyss username but when clicked it leads to a new personal account that’s private. WELL after a month and a half of being fed up, I DMed her all her personal information I found and threatened a refund and finally got one.

My daughter ordered 2 pair of shoes in October. Kept putting her off on delivery. End of November, Alyssa messages that she is getting ready to sent out her shoes and that she has another pair ready to go. Asked my daughter if she would be interested in purchasing them as well. My daughter said sure. Now here we are in May and my daughter is out the cost of 3 pairs. Venmo can't help because the transaction is complete and the bank won't help because it was a cash app purchase. Looks like a small claims suit is in our future

Kicksbylyss is a fraud/scammer

December 11, 2021 I ordered a custom pair of sneakers for my daughter, Venmoed kicksbylyss $160 and she said I’d have them before Christmas. December 14, (3 days later)she messaged me offering to sell me another pair for $50 any design. I passed and asked if she sent the ones I ordered and she said no, I thought you wanted them and would send both pairs together. Again I said no, just send the pair I ordered and paid for. December 16, she messaged and said she can do cheaper, again I said no I’ll pass. Wednesday December 22, I messaged her asking when she mailed them and to send the tracking info. She said she would and I should get the sneakers by tomorrow or Friday the latest. Christmas Eve, still no sneakers and no tracking number, I never received the sneakers I ordered or a tracking number. I messaged her and told her she’s a fraud and scammer and I wanted my money back. She said the post office lost the sneakers and she bought a new pair out of her money ($90) for the sneakers and will design and resend them. I said you never gave me tracking number and the post office insures it so where are they? She then of course “lost” the tracking info and said the post office only covers $50. I said well, $50 back is better then nothing and it would’ve been $40 out of your pocket. She had no answer to that of course. She gave every excuse in the book that she didn’t have the $160 to pay me back bc she has a car payment, cell phone bill, rent to her parents etc. I said that’s not my problem, I paid for a product and service and you owe me $160. Days later I messaged her again, now her Venmo wasn’t working (she claimed). Said her boyfriend will send it to me, then said she’d have her mother send it. That never happened. I kept messaging her almost daily to get my money and finally she had her friend Venmo me $60. So I kept messaging to send my $100 she still owed, and kept getting excuses that she didn’t have it and her friend wasn’t answering her fir her to Venmo me. So mid January kicksbylyss asked if I had cashapp, I don’t but I sent her my nephews cashapp and said she’d send $50 now. That never happened, she finally sent $50 via cashapp January 26th. I again kept messaging daily to send my last $50. Kicksbylyss kept up with the excuse and lies and said I was harassing her. Then kicksbylyss told me to file a claim through Venmo bc she offers purchase protection and she said “you would actually profit money” she wanted to to make a Venmo dispute for the $160. I didn’t but kept messaging her daily and she at one point said hold on someone is about to buy your shoes. Another lie! Then after back and forth and I told her I wasn’t going to stop until she paid me the last $50 she owed me she finally cashapp my nephew the last $50 in February 1, 2022. Then messaged me to let her know if I still wanted the shoes bc they are just sitting there. Kicksbylyss is CRAZY! DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH HER! You won’t get the sneakers and will be lucky to get your money back. She kept talking about all her good reviews but if you see her Instagram under the pictures it says 15 comments but you click it and 1 or 2 show up. Hmmmm why? Bc the others are bad and she hides or deletes them. She’s a fraud/scammer…save your time and money and buy from a reputable small business bc kicksbylyss is NOT a good business! P.s. my nephew made out bc I told him to keep the money…it wasn’t about the money anymore, it was about kicksbylyss doing the right thing!

KicksByLyss contacted me, unsolicited, via Instagram, in late September 2021. She asked if I wanted to buy her custom-designed sneakers. She continued to contact me on a daily basis with the same request. I finally decided to purchase a pair as a one-year anniversary present for my boyfriend. I had to pay for them in full via CashApp. I asked how long the sneakers would take to be completed and KicksbyLyss said 2-3 weeks and that she would keep me updated. Several weeks go by with no updates and when I ask for the status, I was told ‘soon’, ‘a few more days’, ‘tomorrow’. Finally, at the end of October, I sent KicksbyLyss my address and said she would complete the sneakers tomorrow morning. I asked her to send me pictures over a dozen times over the course of late September to late December, and even though she agreed, she never sent any. When the sneakers never arrived at my home, I called KicksbyLyss several times but she never answered. Her only responses were via Instagram – ‘can’t talk I’m in the car’, ‘sorry too busy to talk’, ‘I’ll get back to you later’. When I asked her why I haven’t received my sneakers even though she said she shipped them I was told that she was sorry, that she’d express ship them first thing tomorrow. I continued to wait with no receipt of sneakers. After more aggravating communication, she said she will ship on 11/9. No explanation about why all the other ‘shipments’ never actually got to my home. Just a lot of excuses like ‘I’m really backed up’, ‘I had to hire people to help me’, ‘I’m so busy with school, work, classes’. Still no sneakers by 11/13. After more complaining on my part, she said I’ll just give you your money back. This was 11/26. No sneakers, no refund. On 12/7 I am still sending angry messages, which are met with responses by KicksbyLyss such as ‘I’ve had an extremely successful business for over a year’, ‘I was even able to buy a brand new 2021 car’, ‘I haven’t had a customer actually get this mad at me, they are usually understanding about the times we’re in’. At this point she again says that she is going to refund my money and then reverse the shoes back to her. Christmas comes and goes. On 12/26 I send her a screenshot of a scam report of her business that I found online. She immediately responded and asked that if she refunds my money and sends me a plain white pair of sneakers by tomorrow, will I not report her? I said yes and that I just want my money back and she refunded me within the hour.

SCAM/ FRAUD ALERT: Our UW-Madison student got scammed by an advertisement she saw on the Class of '25 FB group. Our Badger is a freshman and she is new to the world of Venmo. Many use this system to pay each other back and it works great. She saw an ad for custom designed sneakers. She liked the idea of supporting a small business, she had worked hard all summer, and wanted to treat herself. She got in touch with the owner, ordered the shoes, and sent the full amount ($160) via Venmo to the owner in early August. She inquired about when they would be delivered. The owner told her that she had received many orders from other students and was behind. My daughter waited patiently and inquired again after almost two months had gone by. The owner claimed she had mailed them. When my daughter asked for the confirmation/tracking number so she could see where it was, the owner did not respond. She persisted and the owner back pedaled saying that the order would go out within a few days. It did not. My daughter felt like she was bugging the owner for how many times she reached out to ask about the shoes she had bought. At this point, she suspected that she had been scammed and asked for her money to be returned a couple of times. She told the owner, Alyssa, she would be reaching out to Venmo Support Team if she was not refunded for the product she never received. No money was returned and so she reached out to Venmo's support team. Venmo's response was that they do not mediate in situations like this one and that Venmo ought to only be used between friends and family who are trusted. I have reported this site to Instagram as a fraudulent site and am reporting it here.
