Two young men approached me in a car in a grocery store parking lot in Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys California asking if I would like some scratches repaired for cheap and that they were a mobile service. They were very persuasive and asked me to step out and pull over to get a free quote. They quoted me at 475 dollars, and were pushing for same day service. I bought into it and they came over to my apartment complex parking lot and performed some so called work on my car because I wanted to get it done and not deal with a body shop. They were asking me genuine questions trying to be friendly, really just distracting me, telling me what they actually do in a body shop. Then they had someone else come over who was supposed to be a frame expert who told me I had frame damage from the dent when I probably didn't. So instead of the $500 quote, when all was said and done the frame expert said it was now going to be $1000. Not wanting to cause conflict I reluctantly, angrily paid them through the credit card which unknowingly I had fraud protection on luckily. They covered the dent and scratches with a wax like substance that they said to let sit and dry for 24 hours before washing it off by hand. After washing off the wax, there was still damage, the paint color didn't match, and it looked only slightly better than it had before. After calling them back, they answered, then said to send a picture. After doing so I never heard back and after trying to call them again, they never picked up and I never heard back.
