I clicked on an ad that offered diet pills at a cost of $12 + shipping and handling. What wasn't advertised was that the shipments were setup to auto-ship each month. After I received the second shipment, I attempted to contact them to cancel but could not get in touch with anyone. When the third bottle arrived, I did a little more digging and found a phone number. When I called, they told me that they had no record of a purchase from me and did not have my address on file. When I checked my bank statement, much to my surprise I found 4 charges for $99.47 - two that were charged at the time of purchase and two additional over the next two months. I again called and tried to cancel and was once again told that they had no record of a purchase made by me. In desperation, I was forced to close out my debit card and get a new one to stop the charges from being made to my account.
