Kenkyona Shiba Inus Reports & Reviews (5)

We recently found this “breeder” while searching for our next dog. BUYER BEWARE! They certainly seemed legitimate enough, but something set off a red flag for me...I think it was the extraordinarily low price, which included shipping and the fact that they didn’t seem open to us picking up the puppy in person. I did a little more digging and found this site and others’ reviews, including photos that were sent to me that day. The photos below were sent to me as recent pictures of Toby, the dog we were going to purchase...if you look at others’ reviews, you will find that someone else received these same photos two months prior. I’m disgusted that someone would take advantage of people like that, especially when you talk about how excited your two young daughters are. There’s a special place in hell for people like this.
Thankful we aren’t out any money!

Really appreciate the reporters! I almost believe they are real professionals breeder. I keep my mind because the price is really cheap, but their website and email replies are so professional. I decided to dig more and I see the reviews. They are saying $700 including shipping is such a charming hook! Good i checked the photos, they are some same with others pics.

Hello, I was almost ready to purchase from this "breeder" online, but thought a few things were off. The owner / breeder never revealed their name in correspondence, did not answer their phone (kept all communication digital), and there were additional potential concerns. Otherwise, it seemed real as they were very communicative, and quickly followed up my request for photos of the 5 dogs I was trying to choose between. The photos all seemed quite genuine, and with several of each, I thought they had to be legitimate. Since my 6th sense alarm bell kept ringing in my head though, I decided to look up Kenkyona Shiba Reviews and came across this previous review. As suggested by the reviewer, I reverse-searched the numerous images. Many of these extra photos, which were definitely of the same dogs, did not have matches, but of the ones that did, one was a dog from a kennel in the Czech Republic that went to a home in France in 2017 (this review is being written in June 2020). Another dog was listed on several different-named websites, on which I found all of the same puppies that were showing as available on the Kenkyona site. Their Kenkyona site is very professional and believable and the other sites are not as professional looking, but list all of the same puppies by name and using the same main images as are on the Kenkyona website. One of these several sites is heartyshibainupuppies.com -- with a different phone number and email address. So, buyer beware. I wonder how many times these "available puppies" have been "purchased" and if anyone that was scammed has recovered their money. If you are looking for a shiba inu, start here: https://www.shibas.org/breeders.html -- at least you will know they are legitimate. If they don't have any available, ask them to refer you to a reputable breeder. You'll notice they refer you to the name of a breeder, not a website. And finally, make sure they are close enough that you can travel to meet the breeder(s) and puppies in person. Good luck!

I just got some of the same photos yesterday...your post saved us a lot of headache and heart ache!

I emailed them first wanting to get some more information about a puppy they had on their site. They sent me about 5 pictures of what looked like to be the same dog. Then in the next email they sent me a bill of sale and transfer of ownership, I had not yet said I wanted the dog. So, I asked out their shipping. What company do they use, when would the dog be delivery, ect. That night I reverse search all the images they sent me and found one had been posted on instagram 3 years ago. Then, the next day I wake up to an email asking me when the money would be transferred. I asked them what vet they took the puppy to and they just replied with that all her shots were up to date. I asked again, already knowing it was a scam. Then they replied with a vet that was close to them (I looked it up). And then they proceeded to ask why am I asking so many questions.
