I applied for an Administrative Assistant position through ZipRecruiter for Keneric Healthcare Company. I was contacted via email on 2 occasions stating that Mr. James Skinner and Mr. Jerry Bradley viewed my resume and wanted to have an initial interview via Google Hangouts. On 3/30/17 & 3/31/17 I was contacted on Google Hangouts by Jerry Bradley, who conducted an interview with me. At the end of the @ 2 hour interview, he emailed me a employment offer letter which I emailed back, accepting the position. He stated he was going to issue a check to cover business equipment I would need to purchase, such as Intuit QuickBooks, a fax machine, paper shredder, etc. and he would contact me via Google Hangouts on 4/3/17 to give me instructions on where to purchase the equipment and for tracking the check. He asked for my mailing address and the name of the bank I used, but did not ask for account numbers or social security number, not that I would give that information anyway. I decided to call Keneric Healthcare Company this morning before agreeing to begin employment. When I called, I was told there are no such employees named Jerry Bradley or James Skinner and if I "applied through ZipRecruiter, its a scam" as stated by the employee from Keneric.
