Received a priority mail letter with instructions on one page and a cashiers check on the other page for $2,390.73. Asking me to grocery shop, buy gift cards and get a cashier check for the American Red Cross. I looked into it and found out it’s not a real job. Don’t know how this scam works but glad I found out.

Sent with a random check with a value of $2390.73 writen to my fiances name...she just aplied for a job and got this with no notice...im assuming the person behind this wanted someone to deposit the check so they could get the banking info...that or its stolen money and he wanted us to make it legal by sending him gift cards...typical scammer stuff...i will be shredding the check...but taking a picture for proof! He wanted her to keep $265 after IMMEDIATLEY cashing the check within 24hrs of getting it, then get a 30 dollar chasiers check written to red cross as part of their "social responsibilities" then wanted to shop for groceries for personal use....then he wanted her to buy gift cards that needed to be immediately sent to the email adress of *********************** and to keep the cards as theyll be used for the next assignment

This is a total scam! DO NOT CASH THE CHECK at all...dont even attempt to
