So it started with an email (I did apply for a remote job on LinkedIn) then I was contacted that they would like to interview me - I was asked to download Signal to my phone - I contacted the company and you were first lead to think this was a real person but it turns out to be a BOT. Asking you questions, nothing real personal then it states that you have the job, we want you to purchase software, furniture etc. I told them I was not purchasing anything out of my money - now I am really suspicious. They said they will send me a check to purchase furniture, etc. Told me what type of furniture to buy. I told them that they are a fake, scammer.

Here is a copy of the email I received:

Welcome to (Audacy, Inc Company.), Our recruitment team viewed your resume for Customer Service Representative/ Call Center Representative/Secretary & Office Administrator/ Administrative Assistant/ Data Entry/ Receptionist, Part Time/Full Time are available. Training and orientation is Available for the positions listed..

You have been considered and scheduled for an online interview to discuss more about the position offered. You are required to set up a Signal Account (www.signal.com) and download the app (signal) from the app store i.e for smart phone and for PC.

After this process, you are to add Mr.Williams Bat, on Signal, Signal ID is (530 317 0910),. now for the job briefing and comprehensive details. He would be online waiting to talk to you on the signal app, If you have any problem in setting them up ([email protected])

Your verification code is SEC-GOT IT, this would serve as your identification number throughout the online hiring process. Your timely response matters a lot.
