I received an email from "Kelly Petka" regarding an application submitted on LinkedIn for a work-from-home position. The interview was conducted via text on RingCentral app. I was told I would receive a decision the next day, which I did. The emails were from Kelly and [email protected]. I was asked to submit a writing assessment AFTER being offered the job and was told I would be compensated for the assessment on a check sent via email that would include additional funds to buy work equipment. I was asked for my name, address, and phone number.

Codiak is a legit company and Kelly is an actual employee according to LinkedIn. The scammer used the company's actual logo and address.

The person reached out through email requesting an interview for a position that was done through LinkedIn. They said they would be conducting interview through a RingCentral. The name the person used is a real employee name at the Codiak BioScience company, Kelly Petka. I went through the interview even though I thought it was kind of strange. But with today's new ways of interviews, I thought it might be just the initial screener. I was told I would know the status of job by the next business day. The following day, I received offer letter from different email: [email protected]. The offter letter was written with the company's real address and information.
