I was contacted through Career Builder for a job. Went through all of the steps and interviewed online. I received an email from "Darmain Jones" offering me the position of Administrative Assistant with AAVIS PHARMACEUTICALS and that I would receive an email from my HR Supervisor. I set up MSTeams to converse with "Mrs. Keanna Williams". I was sent a check and went to my bank and my diligent banker checked and advised that it was a fraud. I asked for a copy and sure enough, the watermark had VOID on the check. I have been getting nasty Team messages from this person saying that my bank and I stole their money. Please be wary of these companies. The wages they offered were fair based on what I've made in the past, so no red flags went off until the check came in with an entirely different company name.
