Automated call stating our power would be disconnected in 30 minutes due to an unpaid bill, and to call 800-339-4965 to speak with someone or press 1 to be contacted to someone now. I pressed one, and got contacted to a very static line, and a guy who had a very heavy accent. I hung up at that point!

THEY CLAIM YOUR POWER IS ABOUT TO BE SHUT OFF DUE TO AN UNPAID BALANCE, BUT THEY ARE NOT EVEN THE REAL POWER COMPANY. THEY ARE REALLY SLICK BECAUSE WHEN YOU CALL THEM TO ASK THEM ABOUT BEING A SCAM, THEY REFER YOU TO THE "BILLING DEPARTMENT". IF WE HANG UP AND CALL OUR REAL UTILITY COMPANY, THEY TELL US WE ARE PAID IN FULL AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANY SCHEDULED CALLS TO US.

these people called and said that I was overdue by 3 payments to kcpl(utility ) even though I had proof that I had been up to date with payment, they said I would be re-imbursed. I was to go with cash to pay money pak and call them back with activation numbers. I was not to bring in my phone because it was impolite. the manager at cvs told me he though it was a scam and to not pay it. thank heavens for an alert, honest store manager. the number they had me call was 1-800-859-6260. they threatened my power would be turned off by 4:00 today. I would have been out $1500.00
