I was contacted via email by a person named Katie Noble ([email protected]) who is supposedly an HR Manager for First to Serve Insurance. They provided information for First to Serve Insurance and First to Serve, Inc. which is an outreach ministry based in Los Angeles, CA so I assumed it was the insurance company was a branch of the ministry. In their offer email they also mentioned being part of Protective Life Corporation. An internet search of First to Serve Insurance and Protective Life Corporation didn't provide any results.

The position was a fully remote position and I'd need office equipment to perform my job duties. The company was to pay for all equipment, so another person, Susan Cottingham, Sr. Accounting Manager ([email protected]) sent me an e-check in the amount of $1980.00 from Apex Logistics International (SEA), Inc. (address: 20009 8th Avenue, South Kent, WA 98032) to be deposited to my account. I sent Susan and Katie a confirmation of the mobile deposit. The bank held the check and when I notified Katie, I was told I'd be getting a direct deposit instead and asked for my login (user name and password) in order to verify the deposit limit. I declined the previously accepted job offer and ended communication with that person at that point.
