The scammer called and left a nice message on my home phone voicemail in regards to a student loan. They said they need to discuss our repayment options that there has been some changes that have taken place. She left the telephone number to call back of 1-866-264-5225 and left a reference number. I called them back and got someone else. After I gave them the reference number they sent me my secure code for my personal FSA ID. She asked me twice to read it off to her. I read it off and she stated that I have a student loan out. I told her I do not have a loan out, my son has one. She said they could help him reduce the amount he owes on his student loan. I gave them his phone number. The call then ended. I made my son call them and he did. He suspected fraud from the beginning. He asked them a bunch of questions and they ended up hanging up on him.
