I sent a deposit to Dustin Osborne of K9 Companions, a breeder I found on Instagram. He had a previous litter that was rehomed and we spoke a lot about his childhood and why he started the business. At this point everything seemed fine. After I sent the $400 deposit. He didnt call when he said he would or keep his word for anything anymore. I became very concerned as the date neared to take the pup I had as my phone background for months home. I was devastated when he completely ignored all phone calls, texts, messages and then used the excuse that his ex girlfriend was keeping the puppies and she had a partner who was threatening Dustin so he couldn't do anything about it. He told me I could go and speak to her myself but gave no city in the address he provided so it could have been anywhere, he never clarified. He was posting pictures on his personal instagram flashing jewellery, designer bags and money. I asked him to give me my deposit back and he said it had been spent on the dogs vet bills and food etc. I said why do I have to pay for a dog I'm not taking home? And he just stopped answering and has even blocked me on his personal but not his business account on instagram. Dustin is very manipulative, a compulsive liar and denied being a scammer heavily even though that's clearly exactly what he is. He also posted a photo shoot of him and his dog at the time he said he wasn't getting his pay cheque from his boss, he also claimed he didnt have a place to live and his dog was taken from him and that's another reason why he couldn't pay me back or hand over the puppy I put a deposit in for. Judging by the photoshoot and posts of his materialistic items, he clearly was lying about not having his dog, money or a place to live which is a disgusting thing to lie about. He is a terrible and manipulative person.
