I received an email offer from bambooHR, from a Mary Lugard, about a Remote Data Entry position and was asked to contact JY Construction Hiring Manager Regina Cook by Signal App. It seemed like a legitimate job and offer, then they explained I needed company computer, printer, and tablet. They sent me a $6800 check for $6500 gear and a $300 sign on bonus. Then they ask me to go to Frost Bank in Texas, which being in Phoenix Arizona, was impossible. So they asked me to pay for the gear by Bitcoin, using LibertyX app. As I was desperate for a job, I willingly accepted the offer assuming it was their money, what would be the worst thing to happen? It took my parents checking in on me to lecture me of "what happens if they sue for the money?" to convince me that I was truly scammed and now waiting for the results of chargebacks from the bank and a response from the Hiring manager.
