I applied to a graphic design position with Juvly - Columbus Ohio via LinkedIn. I received an email from Lexie Johns. If there was a zero star, I would definitely give this company one! They posted a job for a graphic designer. Naturally I responded and was told that I needed to be interviewed (yay!). However the interview was online only and done via Google Hangouts with Lauren H***, which seemed odd to me. So I went through all of that and was told that I was selected. They wanted to send someone to my house to meet me, which was a huge red flag because I don't want strangers at my house. Then they told me that they were sending me a check to buy my equipment and that I would have to undergo training. I asked repeatedly what I would be training on as in the interview that questions was never answered. All I got was that I would be training with Clyde D***, again not answering my question. I continued to go through the process with Lauren Hern. Throughout the entire start up process, she was horrible! She would never answer a question I had unless I asked it 3 - 4 times and also, she never made it clear that she would want to talk everyday at 9 AM. She only told me the first day. After that, she began spamming me messages on Google Hangouts saying "HELLO. CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION". Also, she is in Ohio and I am Nevada so there is a time difference. I mentioned to her that her approach was rude and to understand the time difference, she said she understood. However, the next day, she did the same thing so clearly she has a short memory or she just simply doesn't care. The biggest concern I had was that they sent me a check for the equipment I needed to buy, which isn't bad. However, I was told that I had to buy from specific vendors. The check was in a certain amount (not the typical whole dollar $00.00). I repeatedly asked Lauren for the vendor list at which she responded that I have to deposit the check first before she hands over the vendor list. SECOND RED FLAG! To me, if you don't want me to know where I am buying things from, I am not depositing any kind of money to you. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! Honestly, Lauren H*** needs to be fired!
