I answered a remote work ad for Customer Service Representative at Modest Moving Services on LinkedIn website. I then got an email from Julia Meek, the company’s supposed trainer, who offered me a job for $870 per week. She asked for my full name, address, contact phone number, and current occupation, which I gave. I then got another email from her, telling me that I will receive a check for my first weekly payment and assignment. I was directed to deposit this payment with my bank. I was told that I would eventually send some of these monies to their “gadget supplier” for needed equipment for my job (mobile phone, printer, laptop, etc.). I subsequently received a check for $3970.
