This person called about a sewing machine I listed on Craigslist. She claimed that Craigslist had scrambled my contact code and wanted my email address. She said she would buy my item and wanted to pay in advance until she could pick it up when she could come from Vancouver Island. In the meantime she would etransfer the cost of the item and wanted by mobile phone to do that transfer. She said she would etransfer me $5 to see if it worked (blah, blah, blah). That pulled up red flags for me. Shortly afterward I got a message from google security that this was a phishing scam. Didn't lose any money but it was very unnerving.
