Juanita Anderson attempts to go online to apartment community websites and applies for apartment homes. Scammer will pay a deposit, in our case $1000, and application fees, $185, then proceed to get denied because of screening requirements scammer doesn't meet. Our system will send a refund of the $1000 deposit scammer has paid within 30days. In that timeframe the scammer initial payment $1185 comes back as NSF, non-sufficient funds, but in our corporate office doesn't see that until the have already issued them a $1000 refund for funds that never posted. This has happened at our community, Encore Grayson and Art House Apartment Homes in San Antonio, TX. We think it is ongoing and just placing a report to be on the lookout.
