Posed as Zelle Pay Customer Service and advised I needed to upgrade my Wells Fargo checking account to a business account in order to obtain the $400 Facebook Marketplace couch payment. I believe scammer posed as a buyer online and stated they sent Zelle $800 to get couch but Zelle payment is pending and being held. I received an email from Zelle making this claim. I followed “customer service” instruction to deposit checks into my account - sent via email. Both checks were made out to me in the amount of $1500 each. Instructed to send the immediate availability of $400 to customer service in order to have them release the pending hold. One check placed into checking and the other placed into savings. Both $400 was taken out of the accounts and I was left in the negative with closed accounts, fraudulent checks and no money
