Consumer received a message on Facebook from a friend of hers stating she should contact JPH foundation to obtain a grant. She called the business and provided, her name, address and birthday. The scammer wanted the consumer to send gift card and then she would have to call them back to give them a receipt number. The consumer called in to the Better Business Bureau and was advised this is might be a scam and to reach out to her facebook friend to confirm it was actually her. She confirmed that she was not messaging her on facebook.
