Recieved a telephone call and they guy said "This is Josh from Customer Service- can you hear me ok?" I believe this to be a recent scam I read about in the news where if I had said yes, it would have been recorded and used as consent to charge me.

I received one of these calls today and immediately hung up without responding to the caller's question. It was an obviously automated voice that identified himself as "Josh" i believe. I cannot be certain that this was an attempt to obtain money or a scam, but it was exactly like the reported scams I have read about recently. As of now, no money has been taken from me, but there is no way to ensure that it won't happen. I have blocked this number.

We just had a new furnace installed so I thought it might be in regards to that. But then he went on to say I had been selected to receive an all inclusive vacation. I received what I believe to be the "Can you hear me? Scam" phone call.

The call I received came from a local prefix, so I answered it. ( 419-740-4028.) The male on the phone said, "I'm Josh from customer service. Can you hear me?". I answered NO and hung up.

2/8/17 - I received a call from Josh from Customer Service. My phone is used for personal and business. I thought the call was from our customer services department. He asked if this was a good time and I said "yes". Then he proceeded to tell me I'd won a trip blah blah so I tried to interrupt him and it became clear that is was a recording and I am a victim of the "yes" scam.

I received a call on my cellphone in my car on 02/03/2017. The caller said "can you hear me"? Without thinking I said "yes I can". Being on the car phone there is always a delay so I assumed he had not heard me when I said hello the first time. He then said "this is Josh from customer service". This is when the call got my attention because he hadn't said customer service from where. The next thing he said was "you have qualified for a trip, possibly a Disney cruise". I immediately hung up thinking it was a telemarketing call. It wasn't until later that evening that I remembered reading about this type of scam, and looked back to read what all the article said. I answered the call because it was from a familiar area code. I certainly wish I hadn't!

I received the phone call on January 27, 2017 at 2:43 p.m. It was a local area code and I thought I recognized the number, which is why I answered the call. I said hello and the person or robot said, "Hello this is Josh from the customer service department. Can you hear me okay?" I responded yes and the the person went on about being eligible to go on a cruise, which was about the time I hung up the phone.
