A lady named Sarah Arnold left me a message regarding wage garnishment and lean being filed by Johson and Edwards through my county. She left a phone number and ref number. I called the number and got a man named Steve Moore, who proceeded to tell me that he had my account and that I owed money on a credit card from Mid American Bank & Trust Company. He couldn't and would not give me any other information than I owed $2,016 but would take $983.27, or I would receive a summons to court to have my wages garnished. I told him I needed more information which he replied that he didn't have why would he needed it. I told him I would contact the bank and go from there, which he got mad. I tried to call the bank he gave me the name for Mid American Bank & Trust Company does not exist any longer and was purchased by The Bank of Missouri. I called the bank of Missouri and was given the phone number of the credit card department. They gave me another number to who they sent the information. I left a message and received a call back from them, and they said that my account was taken care of, that people buy and receive old accounts all the time that this was a scam. Which let me back to contact Johnson and Edwards for the information they will not provide. I got the idea to check out the location on the website, which was made by GO DADDY. The address was just a general building with multiple offices in it. In the property management office of the building, the three people I spoke with stated they do not have Johnson and Edwards in the building. Now the phone numbers for Johnson and Edwards go to voicemail. The number the lady called from goes to a dispatching voicemail.

This company called my father and said a warrant would be issued for my arrest if I did not call them back within two hours. When I called the number they provided, I was told it was an attempt to collect a debt that was over ten years old. I requested three times to have proof of the debt provided to me in writing and all three times I was told they could not provide it and didn't have to. The supervisor then tried to trick me into saying I owed the debt on a recorded line.

Two days later, they called my sister and said she is listed as my next of kin and she will be responsible if I don't call them back. At that point, I returned their call one final time and told them to cease and desist and to place me on their do not call list. I was informed they don't have a do not call list. I repeated my request once more and said they are required to have a do not call list.

I will move forward with legal action if the calls continue.

My daughter in law just received a call regarding me, saying I had two hours to call them or be summoned. 1st: sounds like scam (you don't get summoned over the phone) 2nd: don't know how they linked me with her #. 3rd: I called just to see and they said it was a civil matter and started asking personal information. That's when I cut them off. BIG RED FLAG: a legitimate company wouldn't do this via phone, it would come via mail.

I received a phone call from a Logistics Locating service. Caller id showed Joanne Collins 251-279-9181 that gave me this 1-866-340-3728 to call and reference a file id# and when you call they call themselves Johnson and Edwards company they say they are a financial group collecting on debt from Stream Energy saying that I owe 1278.88 and that we can settle today xx amount of dollars otherwise they are putting a judgement on me for 10 years for this and going to garnish my wages. They have my job and the last 4 digits of my social and last known address from 3 years ago and a name I have never went by.
