Received a very similar email from an Andrew Gall with the same information. Said he was a Senior Vice President of Stonelea LLC and saw my profile on LinkedIn. Thought I’d be perfect for the Data Entry Specialist position and emailed me all the info about the job and when I would start, base pay etc. emailed me from [email protected]. Immediately sent me a response that I was selected for the position and asked for my basic info. When I provided my phone number I immediately got a text from “Andrew” on this phone number (209)813-0238 asking to go to my nearest Office Depot and purchase standard check refills and to print out a certified company check to purchase office supplies for work from home. When I tried to deposit the check my bank denied it saying it was a scam. Watch out!

I was emailed on Tuesday, January 30, 2023 from an individual going by John Beckett. He claimed to be the Senior Vice President of the ICHCA. He said he viewed my application from LinkedIn and wanted me to send my resume to him for further review. The same day, he sent another email saying I am a good match for a remote data entry position. He then listed off hours I would work, days of work, type of work, base salary, benefits, etc... He then sent a list of questions for further insight. Then, on Wednesday, January 31, 2023, at 7:47 am, I received another email from John Beckett saying I have been selected for the job. He requested my name, address, and phone number. Within an hour, I received a text message from "John" asking if I could go to the nearest office store to purchase a standard check refill (business) in order to print and deposit a certified check to be used for reimbursement.
