I applied for a job I found on LinkedIn. I received a message for an interview. The interview was through RingCentral & I didn't talk to a live person, it was through messaging. They asked questions about my experience, said I was a great fit for the remote customer service position. Immediately, they said I got the job & would be sending me a check to buy a computer, printer, accounting software & to set up my home office. I gave them my name, address & email & to contact them tomorrow by 3pm to give me a tracking # for the check.

I got back on LinkedIn & all the messages from the original 2 guys are gone. I read on a website what to look for when being scammed for a job & they had all the signs. I eventually called the actual company & asked if they are currently hiring for a remote position & she said no. So glad I didn't give them any money or more personal info.
