Joe Thomas had a "niece" respond to my Offerup post in which I was selling a power recliner. She asked me to send her "uncle" an email and gave the email address above. This is the deal that Joe wanted to make, "I want to inform you that payment will be delivered to you Via USPS tracking # EY360000947US . I informed you earlier that the movers fee will be included in the payment, it is meant to cover the cost of shipment for your item alongside my other items to be removed from storage to be moved alongside yours, including tax and insurance. Deposit the check at your bank, once it is deposited do let know when it clears or send me a snapshot of the deposit slip for me to know when it clears in order to schedule pickup. Regards"

I told Joe that I would not take part in a third-person sale where I had to cash a check for more than the sale amount and then pay someone else. He pushed several times. I was able to call the bank upon which the check was purportedly drawn this morning, and Mary, the woman who answered, told me that it was indeed a fraudulent check. I also contact Lannett Pharmaceutical to let them know what had happened.
