person showed up late afternoon 5/11/17 with a load of gravel offering to fill holes in driveway with what they had left over from a job - instead of filling the holes they spread gravel full length of very long driveway. Several men in the truck. person scammed has a mild cognitive impairment and realized too late it was a scam. They had him sign he accepted the work after it was done for a charge of $5200. He objected to the price; suggested they could remove the gravel but gave them a check. Scam happened in Cannon Falls, MN area. Phone number provided to home owner is a cell number from Memphis TN according to a Whitepages.com search. Entering just the phone number into Google brings up a Blacktop Paving company in Glenn Heights, TX. There is a listing for a Jimmy Young Blacktop company from Clarksville, TN. Stopping payment on check as soon as bank opens.
