The scanner responded to a "seeking accommodation" near TRU in Kamloops. He was sent an application form requesting all the info needed for identity theft. The scammer also required a "refundable deposit" to secure a showing of the rental. The address was real but the exterior photos were a screen grab of street view and the interior photos were of an unknown location; however, this was only obvious when comparing the style of windows in the interior to the exterior pics. In addition to the personal info, the scammer wanted $3100 to secure a showing.
