Jetstet runs a parcel mule scam and in this particular instance, reached out to a family member as Jacob Roberts from the Proline Dakota HR Department. As an "Inventory Coordinator", they send you packages which you're asked to inspect and mail on to yet another address. A family member got caught up in this, filling out a W9 with personal information, a seemingly authentic contract, and sent several packages which are now understood to likely be purchased with stolen credit cards.

Some early red flags were that this family member was only contact by phone and messaging. When asked for a face-to-face virtual meeting, they refused and feigned offense. At the time they were "new" and had little to no online presence, reviews or feedback to draw upon. The offer was too good to be true -- ~$3,000/mo, work from home, simple tasks -- and it most certainly was. Once the "probationary period" ended (after 1 mo.) they were supposed to mail a check. Instead, they went dark, stopped responding to emails, and their website is now offline. Heed this warning!
