Got a remote job offer. After a few lengthy emails from the “hr manager” knew something was off. The language in the emails evidenced syntax issues, poor grammar, etc. in places where it should not exist. I called the number for the manager, “Jessie Duff.” No answer after several calls. The voice message is from a man with a heavy east Asian accent claiming to be “Jessie.” I left a message to no response.

I continied to teceive lengty emails from this scammer with dorections to accept a payment from them and to deposit the check into my bank account before keeping part of the proceeds, but to then pay a vendor directly from my bank account.

I responded to the scammer via email and demanded they do not send me any check. They did anyway. I was then then threatened by the scammer with “undesirable consequences.”

The return address on the envelope is for a business in Torrance, CA strip mall, but with the name of a company located in TN (Aenon Auto Salvage, Cookville, TN)

I left the envelope unopened as I literally don’t know what to do with it.
