This guy going by the name Luis will try to purchase something from you via an ad you may have placed (OfferUp). He will give you a backstory of how he’s far away and will send extra money to you so you can pay the movers who will pick up the product (furniture). The cashiers check he send via email is fake. It will deposit into your account but funds are fake. He will then ask you to send money to a zelle account he provides claiming that it’s the movers account, so they can reserve the allotted time for pick up. Once you send them money you will not get it back. Stay away. He claimed this email was the movers, and wanted the zelle money sent there. [email protected].

A person identified ad Luis Maddison (phone 7607841530) also uses the email [email protected] to pretend that he is going to buy furniture. He sent you a fake check waiting you to deposit it in your account.

I supose that his intention is to steal information and I don't know what are his limits. If you are contacted please report inmediatly to police.

I am selling furniture and a scammer sent me a fake check attempting to buy the furniture, sent me an email, my bank told me to talk to the bbb about it!
