Me and my wife had just lost a 12 year old Cockapoo early morning on 1/2/21. I was browsing a couple of days later and found a website selling golden doodle puppies for $700. I searched for all possible scam reports but found none, so I assumed it was legitimate. I asked location in which he responded Bakersfield, CA. I’m figuring ok, I live in Las Vegas, only 250 miles away. I asked how much total for pet and shipping and the seller stated $820. I should have listened to my wife at the jump. I sent the $820 with the expectations of receiving a new puppy and instead received an email stating I would need to provide an additional $2000 for insurance from Express Logistics, complete with tracking number. When I said meet me half way (Barstow or Victorville) he said it would be to stressful on the puppy. I have requested refund of all funds, but the seller stated he will fix this. Until I receive a new puppy without shelling out additional fees that were never mentioned, then this will be seen as a scam. I have screenshots of the website address and I have saved and archived all messages and emails from shipping. The shipping email has Robert Mueller III on it as in special prosecutor. I have attached one of many screenshots I have.
