I was contacted about a job offer through email. There was little to no interview process and I was told I had been hired on to the job. After receiving a job offer through the email, I was told I would be sent a e-check through e-mail with the amount to cover equipment needed for a home office. I received an email from a separate person with a supposed e-check. The original person then contacted me from a different email saying that the e-check was delivered. I became too suspicious at this point to continue.
