Jennifer contacted me about a tuba that I had listed for sale, expressing a desire to buy it. I told her the price was firm at $2000. She sent me a check for $3890 and asked that I forward the balance of the check to a courier that she had hired to transport the tuba and several other items to her new home in Austin, Tx. After chasing around most of the day to first get a bank card, then send the funds via Western Union, I finally had her "courier" paid. I then waited for 5 days for her courier to show up. After the 5th day, my bank called me to report the check Jennifer had paid me with was a forgery. Fortunately I still have the tuba, sadly I'm now $3890 in the hole.
