I registered with Indeed Job search to find a remote/work from home job. The email from GGI requested I download Signal app via Google in order to interview with Mrs. Bella Okopio. Job was described. Okopio said they were pleased with my interview, I was hired. Training would be one week. Did I want direct deposit/wire transfer? weekly/bi-weekly pay? Bank name to determine if their accounting had access. I provided my address. At the very end, equipment would be required. I explained I do not have the expensive laptop, fax machine, printer, file cabinet she described. Not to worry. She is overnighting a check to purchase items from a vendor they work with. Without banking info, without employee forms completed they are sending me a check. I panicked, called the number--not a real number. Emailed to say I would not take the job. This morning a UPS driver placed and envelope on my porch. I left it there, took a pic and looked up the sending address. I called the number and the person said I was the second call, an attorney called earlier this week. The person said they repair medical equipment for hospitals globally, not associated with GGI. The medical company was to act so they are not involved in a possible illegal activity. I explained I would not open the envelope. Proprietor asked me to mail the envelope to her new address (as of this week) so they can investigate it.
