I had a call from JE groups on 10/15/20 saying I owed like 1,500 for a Sprint bill from 2003. They stated If I did not pay today they would garnish my paycheck for 25% until the bill was paid. I told the lady I never had a Sprint account and didn't know what she was talking about. The lady on the phone was persistent and said my ss# and name was on this account and I am responsible for this bill. I told her I didn't have 1.500 dollars. The caller said "Let me talk to our under writer" and see if we can reduce the payment, since it was so old. She came back on the phone and said she was able to get the bill reduced to 192.55, If I paid today. I did pay, but felt really unsure about paying. Now after read the reviews on this company or scam . I now feel I was scammed. is there anything I can do about this?
